At 0700, the day began with cadre and command staff wake-up which was followed by a detailed tour of the campus. Preparations were finalized by the staff who are determined to make the week successful. One final runthrough of formation was completed before the staff had an amazing brunch prepared by the Norwich staff.
By early afternoon, cadets from all over New Hampshire, New York, Vermont, and several other states began to arrive. After some time to settle in, all new arrivals and staff were marched to an orientation hosted by Capt. Johnson, Capt. Rizzi, and Mark, one of our glider instructors.
After a retreat formation, the cadets were marched off to dinner. Later on, a fire drill was performed with everyone on campus. This was followed by time spent between flights and their flight staff in order to get to know each other more and to know what to expect for the week. After showers, blister checks, and personal time, the cadets went to bed.
