Day -1: Staff Arrival Day
Today the cadet cadre and senior staff arrived at Norwich University to prepare for the incoming cadets tomorrow. The day began with preparing the barracks for the cadets and was followed by brunch at the dining hall. After chow the rest of the staff trickled in by 1400. As each staff member arrived, they had their belongings inspected for contraband and had their photos taken for the staff section of the yearbook. Following staff check-in, the staff set up their rooms and settled in. All academy staff transitioned over to Plumley Armory where commanders detailed their expectations to the staff of their respective schools. Following that agenda, Lt Rizzi and Lt Cooper held Required Staff Training over viewing the Cadet Protection Program and Safety/Operational Risk Management. At the conclusion of all training, the Academy staff ate chow and organized formation practice. After mastering the formation sequence, the cadre returned to their barracks and made some more preparations for the next day before going to bed for some much needed rest. The staff is excited and charged for the 2019 New Hampshire Wing Summer Academy to get underway!
