Encampment
On the last full day of encampment, the cadets were woken up and brought outside to the staff blaring music and hyping the cadets up for PT. After a brief PT session they moved into position for morning formation, where Alpha Flight was announced as honor flight. Then the Flight Staff got into their flights and drilled them down to the Football Field to do the PT Olympics. The PT Olympics is one of the best part of encampment for the cadets, with it consisting of soccer, relay races, and many more! The cadets were then brought to back to the barracks for a quick shower and change before they went to brunch. After a nice amount of time at brunch, the cadets headed back to the barracks to change into blues for the final inspection.
The final inspection is conducted by the encampment commander, who goes around and checks everyone's rooms. Unfortunately for the commander, we have around 100 cadets this year, maybe more. this final inspection takes up most of the day, so when the inspection came to an end, it was time for retreat, the afternoon formation. This formation is often called funny formation because of how the staff dresses during it. Some staff will wear an oddly shaped hat, others may just wear Hawaiian T-shirts. It is very hard to keep bearing while this is all happening because the staff will do their best to make you laugh while doing the formation as well. After the fun at formation, the cadets are taken to a barbecue run by the senior staff. This is a chance where they can talk and hang out amongst themselves and really get to know the people that they've been spending the week with. At the BBQ you can get a hamburger, hotdog, and even chips. at the BBQ everyone is given honor flight privileges and can eat whatever they want. After the BBQ, it's back to the barracks so they can pack. They pack everything but the things they will need the next day like their blues uniform, shower supplies, and PT clothes. Cadets ended the day with some personal time to shower and talk.

NCOLS
Today NCOLS went down the Leadership Reaction Course to work on their communication as a team before they attempted a much bigger task, eating MRE's for an entire day. After the LRC, NCOLS went on a land navigation trip up a mountain which men that they would miss brunch, so they brought MRE's with them. A land navigation trip is basically a hike where you use a compass or GPS to go into the woods and find a certain location, and it is incredible that NCOLS is able to do that at this years encampment.
