Day one,
The cadets were awakened by flight sergeants getting them ready for morning PT. After the exercise, the cadets settled down with the opening formation. They were then brought to the chow hall where they enjoyed a breakfast made by the Norwich kitchen staff. A few lucky cadets ate breakfast at a table of their own and were brought down to be picked up for glider flights, and the pilot (Maj. Jeff Adams) who towed the cadets in glider flights flew his 3,000th tow today. After breakfast, the cadets got ready for classes, a more relaxed environment than the barracks, but required full mental attention. When the classes were finished the cadets learned drill to help them prepare for graduation, build team spirit, and learn self discipline. After a long day of classes, drill, and PT the cadets wound down and tidied their rooms for inspections later in the week. This was great for building a sense of shared goals within the flight, and cadets from other rooms could be seen helping their fellow cadets out and being true wingmen.
